The rooms smelled clean, and there's not much else to say. For food, I'd recommend Ramzovské sedlo Restaurant, just a short distance from the accommodation. O

For someone who just wants a bed after a visit to Aquacity, this place may do. It didn't work for me, though. The guesthouse seems to draw people because it's 49 meters from the entrance to the giant aquapark. For the same price I stayed right on Prague's main square, and that was heaven and bagpipes by comparison. Here, you arrive at the hut, write a letter at the table by the bar, get checked in and then immediately checked out. Someone walks you to the room and hands over a key, but there's no warm welcome or sense that anyone wants you there. The room is tiny but usable for a night's sleep. It's wood-paneled, with a creaky bed, three towels, a tiny bar of soap about the size of an Opávia Biscuit, and one wardrobe. There's also a very small TV that I mistook for the heating control display, two small tables, and a sofa bed for sitting. Belkin Wireless internet didn't work at all during our three days. Maybe I was at fault and needed to log in somehow: I switched on WIFI, connected to the only strong network I could find, but no data came through. There was no small fridge, room safe, slippers, bathrobe, large towel, welcome water, coffee or tea. The bathroom had two or three rolls of toilet paper and no other hygiene items. The room was clean and looked maintained, though very rustic for my taste, with a creaky, half-dilapidated wardrobe and furniture laid out oddly in places. A wire sticking out from the bathroom lights also spoils the impression, and could be fixed for 80 cents. A huge 6cm spider greeted us on the wall by the bed after we woke up, then disappeared into a crack. The fire alarm had been taken away, too. I think investing 500 euros in each room could make this a completely different guesthouse, since the little things add up. In my opinion, a small fridge in the room should be a LEGAL OBLIGATION OF THE OPERATOR in 2024. The restaurant prices were so high that we ate and drank for much less at the Pilsen tank house, where portions were huge, unlike here. Still, the food is excellent, just small portions. Breakfast was a real plus. I'd read that staff watch closely to see how much you eat and whether you take anything away, but we took two yogurts, ate our fill, and nobody checked. The buffet was sufficient, exceeded my expectations, and gets all 100 points from me. The 10 euro extra charge is definitely worth it. I understand the complaints I've seen on booking about coffee only coming from a varnice, sliced cheese, two kinds of salami and cheap sausages, but a continental breakfast elsewhere can be miserable, and this was oukey. In the morning I heard a cleaner in a shirt shouting to staff that he wasn't working, then yelling at our window that the room was non-smoking. It was, so I only vaped, leaning out the window so the water vapor smell, not cigarette smoke, blew away from the hut. I was still scolded. I expected more respect, maybe even appreciation, since others smoke cigars in hotel toilets, which is much ruder to other guests. You could vape in the room without a problem because there was no fire alarm. The farewell was just as cold and emotionless. The keys were handed over between the restaurant doors and that was the end of it. Nobody seems interested in you, or cares much beyond the money coming in. From what I've heard, things here are going downhill rather than improving. To me, it's a very decent two-star place, not a three-star. The guesthouse depends completely on Aquacity, and I think they should work together more closely. Next time I'll choose a renovated nearby hotel that's 50-100 euros more, where I'll feel like a real guest. For people who just want a drink at Aquacity and somewhere to sleep before going home, this may be enough. It works for undemanding guests, but not for me.

I'd love to stay here for longer, maybe a whole week, and I'll visit again as soon as I can. The house has a spacious dining room, a shared kitchen and even a fireplace in the garden. A train runs behind the little wood-scented room, only a few meters from the windows. It took me straight back to childhood visits to my great-aunt's cottage in the Orlické Mountains, also just meters from the tracks. The train doesn't bother me, it feels like a pleasant addition to the quiet of the mountains. When we arrived, a lovely older lady, a grandmother, chatted with us, suggested beautiful places nearby, and even offered tea. I warmly recommend this cottage.

Ramzová is a great base for walking in the beautiful Jeseníky Mountains. This accommodation is clean and nicely furnished, and just a few steps from the train station. I recommend it.

A great choice for a winter holiday. The place has been beautifully renovated, with a pleasant feel and heated ski dryers that feel luxurious. It's close to everything, and walking to the ski lifts is no problem.
