Alchymist Nosticova Palace

The free cheese and wine from 5pm to 6pm is well worth trying, and breakfast was excellent too. I especially liked the strawberry milkshake and yogurt, and the serving staff were lovely. I picked Alchymist Nosticova for its retro style and it delivered. The bathroom was the most beautiful I’ve had in a hotel, with a big bathtub and chandelier lamps on the mirror. Receptionists were very nice and accommodating, and helped whenever I asked, including an early check-in with no trouble. It’s near a tram stop and some points of interest, but away from the crowds and noise. One of my best stays anywhere. Highly recommended!

Don’t miss the complimentary wine and cheese served from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., a lovely touch. The rooms have a period feel that makes you feel a little like royalty, and the breakfast buffet is more generous than you’d expect at a boutique hotel. There’s also a small, carefully selected menu if you need extra attention. The hotel is quiet but central, with several trams just around the corner. The Charles bridge is only a 5-minute walk through a small park, and once across, you’re in the old town.

The price is high, though fine for an occasional treat. Be sure to get the sparkling wine and strawberries with breakfast. Tucked away in charming Malá Strana (Little Side), this discreet hotel feels elegant, romantic, and exclusive. A little hidden gem in Prague.

Clean, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast, with friendly, helpful staff. The decor has a lovely Bohemian feel. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Prague.
