Getting around was easy, with local attractions and public transport so close by. The hotel itself had huge rooms with an old-world feel, plus a great bathroom with a Jacuzzi. At Christmas, the lobby was fully decorated and we were welcomed with lovely cups of mulled wine. We loved every part of the stay.

Our family room was enormous, and the staff were lovely and courteous. We arrived four hours before check-in and they let us in straight away, even though we hadn't asked. The hotel is in a great spot; it's a bit old, but we liked it. Breakfast had plenty of variety, though it wasn't really to my taste, and the price felt a little high. Still, we had an excellent experience.

The rooms were noisy enough that we could clearly hear other guests, and housekeeping didn't clean properly. Room service never picked up when we called. Food service also closes early. One restaurant employee was rude and disrespectful, though that wasn't true of everyone. The hotel feels outdated and the service was very poor. A really disappointing stay.

Breakfast was very good, and our room was spacious with a very large bathroom, though there was no view from the windows. Getting to the room was a bit of an adventure: take the lift, go down a floor, then wander through a maze of rooms. The location is very central on a crowded boulevard. Late at night or very early in the morning, the homeless people and drunks around there make it feel pretty creepy.

The room itself was decent, but the service was very poor. Housekeeping only made the beds and left trash on the tables and in the bathroom. They found a cigarette in the room, took a picture, and didn't tell us. At checkout on our last day, they showed us the photo and demanded €300. After a long argument, that was reduced to 100$, but they kept looking for reasons not to return our deposit. Very disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it.
