Fashion Loft

We arrived in the afternoon and had nowhere to go. Our Booking.com reservation had been ignored, and we weren't let inside or even allowed to use the toilet. The owner had rented the place to a bigger group, up to 15 people when our group was only eight. They said it wasn't their fault, but the Fashion Loft representatives were rude and unhelpful. They claimed they hadn't acknowledged our booking, which isn't true: we'd exchanged emails about the stay beforehand. It felt like they did this in bad faith for profit. Be careful with this property, you could end up without beds in a tourist-packed city with few alternatives.

The location was the only real plus. I was there for work with colleagues, and I've never stayed in a worse apartment. I've been in cheap hostels that were better. The booking site photos made it look three times nicer than it was. The beds were uncomfortable, and there weren't enough electrical outlets in one kitchen. The second kitchen had nothing except a sink, no fridge or kitchenette. The main fridge had holes in its doors and its water and ice system had been ripped out. Air came through the old windows, and there were plenty of other inconveniences too.

We had a fab time on our hen weekend, and Prague is beautiful. The place was spacious and central for everything. We arrived after 10 pm and had to pay extra for late check-in, which felt like a con after we'd already paid enough. We also paid a bit over the top to keep the room for a few extra hours before checkout.

It's a good, spacious place in a perfect location. The beds were hard and we were missing some kitchen equipment, but I'd still recommend it.
