Breakfast was a welcome surprise, since I hadn't realized it was included when I booked. There was a good mix of pastries, hot and cold dishes, and drinks, and the cheerful servers made mornings pleasant. I also used the laundry service and got everything back promptly before checkout. The hotel has a friendly restaurant downstairs serving local food, too. My room on the top floor was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a large bed and a desk, though the view from its window wasn't much. Someone was always at reception, whatever time you arrived. The hotel sits on a hill beside Prague Castle, handy for many sights, but after a full day walking around Prague, that climb could feel like a lot. There was plenty nearby to explore, and I was glad I chose this hotel.

The view from our room down the main street toward Charles Bridge was stunning, and the room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless. Breakfast had loads of tasty choices, enough that we didn't need lunch. We spent four nights at the golden star for my husband's birthday and had a wonderful time. It was our first visit to Prague, and this felt like the perfect base. There's so much more of the city's beauty we'd like to see, and we'd absolutely stay at the golden star again. Thanks for making the trip so special xx

The room was roomy and had a TV, minibar, and free coffee that was topped up each day. The bathroom floor was heated, there was an extra hand shower, and the room had both radiators and AC. The double windows could be opened all the way or shut. It's a fairly quiet neighborhood at night. You can choose how housekeeping handles things: daily cleaning, or just bin service if you hang the sign on the door and want the sheets left alone. Towels on the rack are reused, while putting them on the floor gets them replaced. Staff were kind, with reception available around the clock for questions. The Prague view was the best, in my opinion. Breakfast had a nice range, from yogurt and sausages to sweet breads. I'd aim for 7-8am, since it gets busier around 8-10am. A great stay.

Our room was so spacious and beautifully decorated, far beyond what we'd expected. The staff were really friendly and helpful, too. It's just a five minute walk from Prague castle, and we'd definitely come back. Such a beautiful hotel for our Prague visit.

It's a small place, but comfortable and clean, and feels like it offers more than you'd expect. The hotel is close to pretty much everything you'd want to see in Prague. I'd stay here again when I'm back.
