Hilton Prague Old Town

The Zinc bar had good drinks and snacks, and breakfast was good too. We had a great weekend in a family room that was clean and spacious enough for our family of four. The parking lot fit our SUV with no trouble. Service was great throughout, and the front desk and guest service staff were professional and kind all weekend. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Prague.

The Executive suite looked like a skiing apartment in the mansard part of an Alpine cottage. For one of the hotel's best rooms, it felt far below comparable five-star hotels in Prague. This might have counted as luxury 25 years ago, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury experience. The minibar had six items and was never refilled. Parking also came as a surprise: no one mentioned the extra charge before I parked, or even when I asked where to leave my car after returning from my room to check whether the space out front was okay. Service was terrible most of the time. The welcome was very good, and that employee was professional and respectful. But when I left, no one asked how the stay had been or if everything was okay. I had to ask three times for my baggage to be taken from my room to my car, and the staff gave me faces as if it were a hardship. They should offer politely or just bring the bags out. I also saw a manager leave the back office without saying hello, with an angry look. The hotel's culture seems bad. As an experienced entrepreneur in the health and medical business who employs over 300 people, I have a sense of what five-star service should look like. This is a three-star hotel.

The first-floor breakfast was a highlight: delicious, with one of the most generous, high-quality spreads I've seen at a hotel. The breakfast staff were consistently kind and attentive. I also enjoyed the Executive Lounge staff and atmosphere, and the evening reception was a lovely extra. The hotel is close to major historic sites, all easy to reach on foot, and public transport, especially the rail, is nearby too. My room felt like a comfortable, well-equipped retreat and was impressively spacious for a central hotel. The powerful showerhead was a small detail that made a big difference. A special thank you to the Hotel Manager, whose warm presence and genuine hospitality made us feel valued. My recent stay at the Hilton Prague Old Town was fantastic, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. I'd stay again without hesitation if I return to Prague.

The Executive Lounge staff are excellent, and the rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. The location is busy but puts all the major sites within walking distance. The only downside for me was missing my usual free upgrade, including Executive Lounge access. My status will be Gold in a couple of nights, and I'm normally upgraded every time.
