Hostel Prazacka

Good value and perfectly located, with rooms in quite good condition and a kitchen on the floor. I’m not sure it would be comfortable in winter because the windows are huge and old. The noise insulation is poor.

We were welcomed by a very nice, helpful receptionist, and our room was very clean. There were a lot of useful facilities: a restaurant, a laundry room, our own bathroom, and shared bathrooms for rooms without one. Two kitchens had two fridges and two freezers for storing cold items. We also had a balcony, which not every hostel or hotel offers. It was very affordable for students, with good subway, tram and bus connections into town and elsewhere. If you’re mostly there to sleep and eat in the evening, it’s a cozy place. There were some issues, though. Nobody told us the room window couldn’t close all the way. The balcony was only accessible through that window because its door wouldn’t open. The hall door locked with a key, but pushing the handle made it open a little, enough to see the carpet on the other side. The bathroom had no hand soap or hairdryer, and the hostel is a bit outside town. This is a hostel, not a hotel.

Small, clean and nice, with a tram stop and convenience stores very close by. It’s cheaper than other hostels or hotels in Prague, and I loved my stay.

It’s cheap, and the quality is cheap too, so it’s great if that doesn’t bother you. The private bathroom was good and the AC worked very well. The wall paint is coming off, the windows don’t work properly, and the curtains are too narrow for the windows, letting in all the light. Be ready to wake up at 5:30.
