Hotel Selsky Dvur - Bohemian Village Courtyard

I was here with my partner and parents because it’s close to my brother’s house in Prague. The rooms were clean, the beds really comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the shower was nice and large. We didn’t use the minibar, though the prices we saw seemed reasonable. There’s a pleasant outdoor area, but we barely sat out there. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options. As Brits, it wasn’t quite what we’re used to, but the selection of pastries, fruit, cereals, Czech sausages, fried eggs, and scrambled eggs was nice. The scrambled egg was especially good. After 10 p.m. you need to ask someone to let you in, but it’s reassuring to know the place is secure.

I had a nice weekend here and would come back. It’s a great venue for events like weddings, with welcoming, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and a large private parking lot that I absolutely loved. The restaurant dishes were pretty good, though they didn’t amaze me. There was a spider in the room, which made me wonder if cleaning was insufficient. Also, the A/C turns off when you remove the keycard from the reader inside. Some rooms, including ours, are on the top floor, and they get very hot in summer.

We had a perfect time with our friends at this hotel during their wedding. The typical Czech meal was served, and the surroundings were very pleasant. There’s also an indoor garden with a retro mill wooden wheel with running water. I recommend it.

The wedding day was a dream. The space looked beautiful, the table settings were exactly as agreed, the food was delicious, and everyone complimented the excellent wine selection on site. Staff were professional and great throughout. Lunch, cake, grill, and music all came out on time as planned, so we could just enjoy the day. The hotel also handled rooms for our many out-of-town guests really well. We made lots of changes during planning, but they were patient while we confirmed the final room count and dates. As far as I know, our guests loved their rooms and the hotel service. We began planning our wedding with Selský Dvůr half a year earlier, and it all went smoothly. Wedding planning is never stress-free, of course, but the manager was patient and helpful, and communication about our big day was really good. I can’t say a single bad thing about the whole experience. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it such a special, memorable day. ❤️🙂❤️ Ivana & Pavel
