HU

There are five rooms in this apartment, a tiny shared kitchen in the corridor, and three shared toilets. Two rooms have showers and the other three don't. The rooms are very small and smell of smoke and damp. The sheets had an odd smell and yellow spots. There's no sign outside, so get detailed directions before you go. The owners or managers run a nearby grocery store, where you have to collect the keys. If you arrive after 11 PM, you won't get keys. They don't answer calls and don't speak English or any other language except Vietnamese, so have a translation app ready if you need to raise an issue or discuss anything. The Wi-Fi works fine when the apartment isn't full. There is no parking. Vinohrady, 120 00 Prague 2, Czechia is not the right address, and the image beside the map for Vinohrady Place has nothing to do with the HU apartment. After booking, you get a generic email saying: "HU Hello You can pick up your keys to room (5) in the "ovoce a zelenina" market next to the apartment no later than 22:00. When you depart, just leave the keys on the table in the room. The password for "HU wifi" is ..... The building's main entrance is to be opened with the chip. Apartment "1 ..." A heads-up: room (5) may not be your actual room. The manager might hand you any key left in his drawer, even if you booked a room with a shower. Do your best to avoid the filthy room (5) or either of the two rooms without windows. Room (1) is the only one that's barely decent.

The manager spoke perfect English when checking us in. But when we went downstairs to complain about the room, she started speaking Mandarin. Horrible staff.

The price and location are great, but there are bedbugs.

The staff weren't reliable, and the room had a smoky smell.
