Merchant Rooms & Apartments

We stayed four nights as a family, and the cozy room with its nice terrace was more than enough for us. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve found for traveling with a child. Charles Bridge is right nearby, and most of Prague is easy to reach from here. The staff were super friendly, and Stana was especially helpful in answering all our questions. I’ll book here again when I return to Prague.

The room was very large, with what felt like two beds joined together to make one huge double. The self check-in was easy, and all the details came through by email. The location is hard to beat, close to both Charles Bridge and Prague Castle.

The check-in process and communication were awful. I received no instructions, even though you need a code to get through the building door. I arrived late and had nobody to contact. Luckily, people who live in the building helped me get inside and find where the room key was. The door code was only in an envelope with the key, so I was lucky to get a bed for the night at all. Avoid the hassle. Afterward, the response said emails had been sent, but I did not receive any. I called the number they provided five times that night, and nobody answered. That’s unacceptable. They need to sort out their process and customer communication.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly, with easy access to most places. Just know this isn’t a typical hotel, it’s in an apartment building on the second floor. Breakfast was served in a different building, and it didn’t start before 8:30 AM. I had to cancel because of an early programme, but they wouldn’t refund the breakfast fee. Not a major issue, but keep the timing in mind if you have an early start.
