The room was warm, which helped since it was very cold outside. We also liked the Mala Strana neighborhood, which felt safe and romantic, though it's about a 20-minute walk from the old city center and there are better options closer in. Since we arrived early and the room wasn't ready, the woman at reception helped us leave our luggage in the locker room. Those positives are why we gave two stars instead of one. But we couldn't sleep because of the noise. Our first-floor room faced the main street, with cobblestones and a tram line. Cars and trams rattled over the stones, and the old wooden windows let in everything. It felt like sleeping outside. Earplugs didn't help enough, and when vehicles passed, the whole bed and walls shook. The place was dirty and worn. The bedsheets and towels were dirty, the walls were dirty, the toilet had dried urine spots, the curtain was torn, and the sink was broken. Worst of all, the bed was full of hair, including thick, long hairs under and between the sheets, visible through the bedding in the photo I uploaded. The room was so small we couldn't even fit our second piece of luggage. The shower only had a fixed ceiling-mounted head, not one you could hold, which made washing difficult. Breakfast was okay, with scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, sauteed vegetables, beans, different cheeses, salami, fried bacon and sausages, olives, some vegetables, doughnuts, waffles, cereal, jams, croissants, bread, coffee, tea, and juice. The pastries and bread were dry, and the menu was exactly the same every day.

I was so happy with my choice of Hotel William. It's clean and comfortable, breakfast is excellent, and the trams, city center, and sightseeing places are all nearby. Thanks to everyone who works at this hotel. I hope I can stay here again.

The room was a bit small, but still good overall. Nice place, with great service. The breakfast lady especially stood out, always smiling and welcoming.

Our stay at the William Hotel in Prague was really unpleasant. The room had very serious cleanliness and maintenance problems. If you want to be treated respectfully and not constantly bothered, I'd avoid staying here.
