Penzion U Cejpu

We paid 80€ for three nights, breakfast included, and got a huge room. It was clean and comfortable, though it could have had a few more things in it. The breakfast wasn't very satisfying, and the coffee was awful. Even so, the price for the quality is very good, and I'd recommend the place for its nice staff.

The local kitchen was a real highlight. I tried the tartar and a special dish with oil-cured spiced cheese, and both were tasty. Breakfast was good enough to get the day going, and the staff were consistently nice and kind. The room could sleep three or four and had basic furnishings: three beds, a wardrobe, a table and a small TV. The bathroom was nearly as large as the main room, but had very little equipment and nowhere to put clothes, like a table or box. There's no lift, so you have to carry your bags up yourself. The location was noisy, close to a four-lane road with a bus stop right below the window and moderate to heavy traffic. Mornings could be irritating if you wanted to stay in bed longer, though early risers may not mind. I wouldn't choose it for a long stay, but it works for a shorter trip.

We had booked one night for six people, but there was a problem with our room at check-in. We didn't accept the alternative they offered, so they did everything they could, and more, to fix it. In the end, we got the room we had reserved. The service was excellent. Dinner was fresh, and they even asked the chef to make something for me because of my special diet. The breakfast buffet was all very good, with different breads, cereal, fruit, cheese, sausages, eggs, yoghurt, coffee, tea and cakes. We'll try to come back someday, and we absolutely recommend this pension. Fam. Savic (Groningen, the Netherlands)

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and spacious, which made for a pleasant stay. The bus stop is close by, and the metro is an 8-10 minute walk.
