Platan pension

You can walk to plenty of shops, restaurants and beer bars, and we liked the continental breakfasts too. We found the key boxes easy to use, and staff finishing at 13:30 caused no trouble since they were reachable by phone anytime. For the price, there are all the essentials, including a fridge, microwave and coffee automat, though you shouldn't expect a lot of hotel services. The lift is outdated, but we liked it because it reminded us of scenes from czech books. The location is in the heart of Prague: we walked everywhere, including across the Vltava to Prazsky Hrad and Petrshyn. Staromestskaya main square was 10 minutes away on foot, and the main train station was a 15-minute walk. For this price, the location and services are the best.

Pension Platan was our first hostel in Prague. The two-person room was cosy and worth the money, and it was very cheap, at least when booked early. The right door to the hotel was hard to find in the evening. There was some disturbing noise before about 23:00.

I tried to cancel my reservation because of Covid-19, but they wouldn't refund my money or offer a voucher for a future stay. They don't care about their customers. So bad. Don't book this hotel.

A cosy room for the price. The building is quite old, and the elevator is totally antique and vintage.
