Prague Golden Age

The receptionist was so kind and helped us sort out our bicycle situation. We had a wonderful night at the Prague Golden Age Hotel, and I really recommend it.

The staff were flexible and helpful, and the old town location made it easy to explore. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, though the area is very touristy and can get pretty loud at night if that bothers you. We changed rooms twice during our four-night stay, and the quality varied a lot. The hostel's a little run down. I'd come back for the double room with the painted ceiling, but watch out for the room with two single beds.

The rooms are roomy, with vintage furniture, and the bathroom has a good shower. It's well placed near the metro in the old town. There’s no air conditioning, and opening the window isn't really an option because of the noise outside. No fridge in the room either.

The curtains let in too much sunlight, which could be a problem if you're sensitive to it, like my friend. Otherwise, our two nights in a twin room with a private bathroom were really pleasant. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the hostel is in a great spot in the old town. Breakfast wasn't available because of the pandemic, but there are easy options nearby. We had a late night commute and lots of luggage, and the receptionist kindly kept our bags.
