STAGES HOTEL Prague, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We've stayed here before and had always been happy with the excellent rooms and outstanding breakfast. Those parts were still good, but this visit left us with a very unpleasant impression. Our early check-in for 13:30 had been confirmed ahead of time, yet we waited another hour after arriving. We were also offered a lower room category in exchange for the early check-in, without even a complimentary drink as compensation. At least 15 people who came in after us got their rooms without an extra wait, which made us feel like second-class guests. The room itself had a faulty door lock and shower problems. A blanket had been washed with bits of paper tissue, so white lint covered the bed and some of our clothes. The receptionist, Ivan, came across as deeply disrespectful and unpleasant. That treatment was unacceptable. I regret writing this because we really value the hotel, but this stay left a bitter aftertaste.

Having a restaurant and bar right in the hotel was a real plus. The service was friendly, professional, and helpful, and housekeeping came every day. We had a roomy, comfortable space with tasteful design, and the whole place, from the lobby and hallways to the room, felt fresh, spotless, and stylish in this very new hotel. The bathroom was huge, with a shower and bath area that felt luxurious. There were modern conveniences throughout: good curtains that kept the room dark for sleeping, a big TV, speaker, fridge, safe, and complimentary water. It had a premium feel without an outrageous price. It's outside the historic center, but that didn't bother us. For what we paid, it was an amazing find and the best overall hotel experience we had in Prague. I'd absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting.

Late night soundchecks were the one thing that got in the way of sleep. The hotel's cool atmosphere seems to draw people who enjoy their 'liquid enthusiasm' a little too much, and once they get going, the hallway gets loud. I like the spirit, but that corridor isn't a stage. Less heavy metal and more acoustic would help the sleep match the aesthetics. The place has a distinctive theme, with a lot of thought put into the look throughout. Check-in went well, the rooms were clean, and the staff could provide what you needed. Breakfast was good too.

We loved our stay and would definitely come back. The hotel is remarkably clean, the staff are so sweet and helpful, and breakfast was amazing. If you're going to see an act at the O2 arena, it's about 56m away, and the hotel even gave us a little sticker for the fast lane entrance. The music theme runs through the whole place and looks fantastic. We were blown away by the decor, and even had a small marshall music box in our room.
