We found the staff warm and helpful, and they took time to explain all the services available. The rooms were lovely too, very clean and comfortable, with tasteful, understated interiors. Heated towel racks and other amenities were a nice touch.

We went in early December for the Old Town Christmas markets, and it was easy to walk to all of them from the hotel. There are also plenty of nearby places to eat, shop, or have a drink, plus lots of convenience stores. The hotel itself is right among the Old Town sights, and despite all the people outside, our room stayed very quiet. One thing to plan for: the street outside is pedestrian-only, with cobblestones that can make hauling heavy luggage difficult. Arrange to be dropped as close as possible. The front desk also isn’t open around the clock, so late arrivals need to be arranged in advance. We had a great stay.

The location made this a great base for a Prague city break, right in the old town near the Astronomical Clock and other lovely sights. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the main train station. I stayed one night with a friend, and the modern room was clean and a good standard for the price. The staff were very helpful both through booking and in person.

The room at Hotel Karlova Prague was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I found the staff at the desk very friendly and helpful. The old town location is handy for reaching the main attractions. After 8 pm, you need a hotel card to get inside, a security measure to help keep out unauthorized visitors. I’d happily stay here again. It was one of my best hotel experiences.
