The hotel was closed when I tried to stay there. I'd just missed the last train out of Ros pod, so I ended up waiting four hours for a bus to Pribram.

We'd booked a week's stay through Booking four months ahead. Just three days before we were due to arrive, the owner called to say a temporary worker hadn't put the reservation on the calendar, so they couldn't host us. He did suggest another place in Rožmitál.

We'd made our booking well ahead of time, but when we got there the gentleman said that when we'd called, they were drinking. Apparently his employee got the date wrong and put someone else's name down instead of ours. He then suggested a hotel 100m away, saying he hated it and we shouldn't tell them he sent us. They did already know we were coming. At least he let us keep the motorbikes under his roof, out of sight. Still, never again!

Nice place, friendly staff, and they let us bring the dog along. They don't accept cards, but there are two ATMs on the square.
