The walk in the local woods was lovely, and the tarmac path made it easy. Breakfast was great too, especially the coffee, which is one of the best I’ve tasted, even better than Italy. After that, the wellness area had a rest room, two saunas, one wet and one dry, a whirlpool and a swimming pool. They provide fluffy bathrobes, towels and slippers. Vera gave me a massage and seemed experienced, finding all my tight, niggly spots. Dinner was delicious, including ribs and supreme of chicken, and the wine was high quality. From the moment we arrived, the duty manager welcomed us at Reception and I had a feeling it would be a lovely experience. The staff were customer focused and seemed genuinely happy to be part of the team. It was late when we left, and we almost wished we could have stayed overnight. The wellness area is modern and clean, with a range of treatments to choose from, and it wasn’t overcrowded. The rooms were decent and the meals very tasty. It’s a lovely place to recharge, with kind, friendly staff. We’ll definitely come back.

The restaurant has a good variety of dishes, though some can be very tasty and others just below average. I’d recommend the Kulajda soup, beef steak with horseradish and potato puree, and chocolate cake. The hotel is decent, set in the middle of the forest, and the rooms are spacious and clean.

I only visited the restaurant. The food was good, but didn’t match the price. My chicken was undercooked, still bloody, and the waiter made a face but didn’t apologize, offer to take anything off the bill, or suggest a replacement meal. Prices aren’t low, so it’s a pity the service doesn’t justify them.
