The room was clean enough, and we were glad to be near several good places to eat and try Czech drinks. What made the stay unpleasant was the receptionist. When I arrived, she sat facing away and seemed to ignore me. I may have come to the wrong side of the desk, but she could have just pointed me in the right direction. She then said three times that she didn't speak English, while continuing to explain things in Czech and German. Once she noticed we were getting irritated, she suddenly remembered that she could speak English after all. I spoke with her again the next morning to ask whether we could buy breakfast separately. One of us is vegan, so we wanted to find out if there would be anything suitable. She responded by repeatedly telling me we hadn't booked breakfast, which I already knew and wasn't asking about. There was very little vegan food anyway, so we hadn't booked it in the first place. The conversation was unpleasant again. I liked everything else, but the receptionist was rude and unfriendly.

The staff were helpful and attentive, and breakfast was great. I do wish the rooms had been cleaner, though. There were cobwebs and liquid spills on the headboards. One late afternoon we tried to get into the IQ room, but a dance class was taking place in the area you have to pass through to reach it, so we couldn't enter. Apart from those issues, we had a good stay.

We came back to the hotel at night and had to wait outside for ten minutes, even though we had a key, because the door was locked. The pool was closed during our visit, and breakfast was average. Staff didn't speak English. When we arrived, there was a fruit salad in our room, but five minutes later the receptionist knocked and took it away, saying it belonged to another guest. We weren't very happy with the hotel.

The hotel felt cold and uncomfortable. I had to leave three days early, but they didn't refund the money. At first they said they would return it, then they began ignoring me completely.
