Horský hotel Hanička

The Wi-Fi was fantastic.

The food was bad, and there was no room service. Two of us had left our passports in the car, while the other two had the car key. She threatened us with the police and three years in prison. We were also reported for throwing cannonballs, and ended up with a total of 4000kr. It wasn’t us, but we couldn’t get a word in. After that, we were told not to come back after 10pm because she thought we’d be noisy. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My only advice is to pick somewhere else.

There weren’t enough parking spots at the hotel, so we had to leave the car down in town and walk back up. Inside, our room key was waiting at reception with a name tag, but there wasn’t a staff member anywhere to be seen. The rooms were tiny and dirty, with white and yellow stains on the balcony door and a musty smell throughout. The bathroom was almost impossible to breathe in. The restaurant offered very little choice, none of it suitable for children, and drinks came only in 100ml bottles. We’d been looking forward to this long-planned ski holiday and were deeply disappointed. It was an absolute nightmare.

The rooms were okay, but they were very hot and there was no way to adjust the temperature. After a hard day skiing, I wouldn’t want to sit down to this dinner. The food was terrible, and it didn’t get replenished reliably, so you had to rush for it as soon as the advertised meal time began or risk going to bed hungry. Strongly not recommended.
