Hotel Tři růže

We wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were very clean and the beds were good. Breakfast had a tasty selection, and dinner was satisfying and just as tasty. All the staff were welcoming, and the manager deserves praise.

The woman at reception was super friendly, but the waiter at the restaurant is why we’ll never return. We were friendly, polite, sober, and simply there for dinner. He ignored us when we spoke English. German or Czech seemed to be accepted, but then he threw the plates onto the table so the cutlery nearly fell off. When we asked him to leave the cutlery and take only the empty plates, he yelled at us. Other reviews mention his behavior too. It seems Hotel Tři Růže doesn’t care whether guests come back. The place was half empty on a weekend in the busy ski season. Avoid it if you want to spare your nerves.

We were four, including our two kids, and stayed for a week. The hotel is nicely located near both a ski lift and the village center. We’d be happy to return to the Three Roses, but would choose a bed-and-breakfast option next time. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, fairly clean, and well maintained, and the bathrooms were nice. Sound carries, though. For the first few days we had no neighbors, but once the next room was occupied, we could hear loud conversations, and they could hear our children playing. We were on half board. Breakfasts were good, and the desserts at dinner were very good. There were three dinner dishes to choose from each day, but it was still hard to find something suitable for the children. After skiing we’d already eaten lunch, so a big dinner didn’t suit us. The adults weren’t very happy with the food’s taste, even though we know and generally like Czech cuisine.

The location is lovely, and the food is great. A great hotel all around.
