The marked cycling routes nearby make it easy to explore, and the area around the village is also good for walks, fishing, hunting, or mushroom picking. There’s a fireplace where you can roast sausages or meat, and groups can arrange a prepared meal such as soup, goulash, pork, dumplings, or sirloin steak. It’s a family-run guesthouse in a peaceful, scenic setting, open for stays all year. There are four double rooms, with extra beds available, for up to 16 people. The restaurant downstairs serves excellent food, with breakfast and half board available. The owners are lovely, and they brew great beer from Rakovník. Even if you’re just passing through, it’s well worth stopping.
The room was cozy and clean, the place was quiet, and parking was right at the house. But the owner’s communication felt rather closed off. We got the building and room keys when the beer delivery arrived, and when he was working at the bar or in the kitchen, our questions seemed to bother him. On the first evening, he annoyed us by listening in and taking charge during the initial arrangements. After that, we barely saw him. Breakfast costs 100/120 CZK and comes with Turkish or instant coffee. Espresso costs extra, and there’s no Wi-Fi.
A welcoming host, and a good place to stay if you’re traveling by bike.
This is a forgotten corner of the region that deserves a visit. Our host looked after us like family, and we had no problems at all with the accommodation or the other services. I’d gladly recommend them.
