The breakfast was great, the beds comfortable, and there’s parking right outside, WiFi, and wellness facilities. The restaurant is there, though I couldn’t tell whether they serve dinner. The hotel sits in a quiet village, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a business trip. The building has dated 90s architecture that felt complicated and unattractive, and the gold, black, and brass interiors with copies of ancient Greek statues weren’t to my taste. The receptionist was angry that we hadn’t checked in before 6 pm, even though we’d clearly said we’d arrive around 8 pm. One room has a king-size bed and a spacious whirlpool. My impression was that it’s best suited to couples looking to enjoy themselves in secret :) :). I have very mixed feelings about the place.

We took the room with the whirlpool, and having the indoor wellness area right next door made it good value. It’s friendly, clean, and relaxing, though a bit out of the way. The breakfast was good and the staff courteous. If you’re tired of pretentious hotels, give this one a try. I’d stay longer next time we’re in Brno.

We went 20km outside Brno for a reservation I’d made, but the landlady rejected it and opened with, “you can’t do that”… That attitude was appalling. If the accommodation offer isn’t real and possible, she shouldn’t be publishing it. Never again!
