Our whole itinerary was planned around staying in the castle, so the cancellation a month before our trip was a real blow. We had booked half-board seven months ahead and paid in full. When the hotel said a large private event meant they wanted us to leave, we even agreed to put up with any noise and give up the right to complain, just to keep the booking. They cancelled it anyway. The same room appeared on the booking platform right after that, at a much higher price. We booked it again, and the staff personally confirmed both the reservation and parking for those dates by email. Days later, after we complained officially about price manipulation, they cancelled that booking too, saying there had been a system error. They offered somewhere nearby, but another modern hotel couldn't replace the historic castle atmosphere we'd paid for. It felt like they pushed out guests willing to compromise to make room for a private party. They should have honored the original agreement. I wouldn't rely on this place for a reservation.

The hotel took payment and confirmed our room, then called a couple of hours later to say it wasn't available. They arranged a room at another hotel, which we didn't want, and told us our money would be returned when we asked. It never was. I ended up paying for a stay that didn't happen. Great service.

The castle views from the room and the lovely terrace are what I enjoyed most. I love the hotel and its location, and the food was delicious too.

I'm still caught between the hotel and Booking over the refund for my August stay. It's the middle of September now, and Booking says it can't return my money until Hotel Anton Florian confirms it couldn't host me. The hotel staff still haven't confirmed that, so this has turned into a loop of disorganization and disregard. Booking's customer service takes up to two weeks to reply. They called it frustrating, but to me it's shameful, and the hotel's staff seem to have no conscience. The problem started when the hotel couldn't accommodate us for some technical reason, maybe an issue with the room's water. Their employee Petra used my money to book another hotel, left the Hotel Anton Florian reservation uncancelled, then messaged me that she'd "solved the problem." Now I've spent about a month trying to get the money back to my card. I don't even know who has pocketed it by now. At least Booking is in the Netherlands and has less reason to want Czech crowns. Anyway, great service from both of you. Thanks. Say hello to Petra.

The staff were attentive and welcoming, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. We also loved wandering around the beautifully landscaped grounds, with plenty of room to relax. Inside, the clean, cozy rooms are tastefully decorated. Staying in the castle felt magical, almost like stepping into a fairytale. We had a wonderful time.
