The surroundings are lovely, and the parking is right in front of the house. Dogs are allowed for a reasonable fee of 200 CZK, and breakfast costs 200 CZK per person. The log cabin is beautiful, with a really nice period design. One thing I'd suggest is making it clear that the rooms don't have their own bathroom or toilet, since the bathrooms are shared in the hallway. I missed that when booking on booking because I usually check Google reviews and then don't look at booking again, so it came as quite a shock. Towels weren't included either, and we hadn't brought any. We've never stayed somewhere without a bathroom, so we didn't realize we'd need our own and ended up drying ourselves with clothes 🙈

We were about three train stops from boats on the Vltava, and there was a nice mix of wood and stone throughout the cottage, with a bit of nature around. We were there for a corporate weekend event in a multi-storey cottage. Its foundations date from 1741, though it unfortunately suffered a fire around 2004 and was renovated. I slept in the large downstairs room, where beds had been prepared to match the number of people. There's a sitting area downstairs and another sitting area, plus a bonfire spot, ping pong, a trampoline, grill and oven. We had two breakfasts and one dinner. The food was very good, especially the luxurious eggs, and there was a hot and cold counter.

The only thing I can praise is the parking, there was room. Breakfast was average, and without the coffee it would have been well below average. The Wi-Fi was more science fiction than reality. The mattresses were as hard as the floors, and our room had only hand towels, no bath towel. The floor was dirty too. There was no privacy. When the door opened, you could see straight through to the bed, and people at the table could watch you coming out of the shower. You could hear every word through the walls, without exaggeration. The layout felt badly thought out, from the showers by the kitchen to the night-time trip to the toilet: opening the room door lit up the whole common area and woke people, while the fast-reacting lights meant there wasn't time to close it before the room staff woke too. Most of the room had a sloping ceiling, with the beds tucked into the lowered part. Hard to see why it was arranged that way. The whole log cabin had a strange smell, like a smokehouse. I guess it was due to the insulation, and the place didn't seem to be ventilated. The hygiene situation felt like a disaster for the 21st century: shared bathrooms, which could have been mentioned on booking. There were three makeshift bathrooms for seven rooms, each with a shower and toilet. One had a broken ventilation button, replaced by some toilet spray. There weren't shared hand towels either. In the room for six, there was just one small window. In my opinion, it was impossible to air the room properly, and CO2 levels overnight were well above the limits for healthy sleep.
