We were welcomed with coffee and cake, and the view of the village from the shepherd’s wagon was magnificent. The four-course dinner that evening was wonderful, with expertly matched wines, and we were well looked after. After a restful night, we had a delicious breakfast each morning. Then we hiked the "Wonder Forest Trail," a lovely way to finish our short break. Highly recommend it!

We keep coming back for the peace and quiet. For the second time, we spent Corpus Christi with Harald, parking our campervan on the hill behind the shepherd’s wagon, just as we did last year. The four-course meal was fantastic, made with exceptional ingredients, and we had a perfect bottle of wine with it. The next morning’s freshly baked baguette was the finishing touch. We’ll definitely return!

Mr. Kühn’s shepherd’s wagon in Licherode is a wonderful place to slow down. We loved spending two nights surrounded by nature and felt we’d rediscovered what being close to nature means. If you enjoy the outdoors and being pampered, the generously packed picnic basket is a real treat. We also booked the four-course dinner separately, and it was absolutely delicious. During our 2016 MTB tour, we spent a night here. The welcome was warm, the meal was delicious, and we slept really well. Breakfast was generous, too. In rural areas it’s handy to carry some cash, in case card payments don’t work. We’d be glad to come back.
