We booked and paid a month in advance, but for some reason we couldn't get into the hotel.

I had to cancel because I was ill, but I can't really comment on the hotel itself. My booking didn't include a cancellation option, and I didn't cancel through the hotel. Even after asking repeatedly, I've had no reply and still haven't received an invoice or anything else. If you need an invoice, I strongly advise against staying here. I'd give zero stars if I could.

My stay was supposed to be March 10th to 13th, but I left after just one night. The accommodation is central and easy to reach. To get in, you call a mobile number for the door code, and when I arrived the room key was already hanging in the lock on the outside. Room 4 was on the third floor, up a very narrow stairwell, with no elevator. It was tiny and run-down, as the photos show. The 80 cm single bed dipped at the edge, which was the only place I could lie, and I fell out twice. The bathroom was so cramped that, as a bigger man, I couldn't use the toilet comfortably. They said they'd contact me about a refund after I checked out early, but as of April 25th I still hadn't heard back. My WhatsApp and emails also went unanswered. Very disappointing, and I can't recommend booking here.

We could walk across the city center from here. The cathedral was under 10 minutes away on foot, and Lanxess Arena was no more than 20 minutes. It's a central spot near Neumarkt. The room was bright, clean, and beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. There's no parking right outside the hotel, but a parking garage is nearby.
