The house was very clean, and the friendly landlord, quiet setting, garden barbecue, and comfortable furnishings made for a great stay. Downstairs there’s a modern kitchen, two nice bathrooms with bathtubs, and the living room. The bedroom is upstairs, along with a playful snug sleeping area for kids. We stayed a week and would gladly return. Altenbrak has plenty for relaxing, including a pool, playground, and courts for football and volleyball. You can also visit the trout farm and its small fishing pond, or follow the many trails to viewpoints overlooking the village. Nearby towns have shops and other attractions. We’re very happy with our stay and recommend it! :)

The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. It’s a lovely little holiday house in a peaceful, idyllic spot, and the owner is so friendly and quick to sort out any concerns. We’ll definitely return.

We came home reluctantly after another wonderful stay, and I think we’ll be mentally back in this idyllic place for days. The weather gave us both sunshine and snow overnight, and the accommodation was lovely. Our host was very attentive, and we found the peace we needed to recharge for each day of our search for Harzer Wandernadel stamp points. I’d recommend that to anyone. Spiki felt completely at home and would love to join us again. Warm greetings to the host and family, and to Altenbrak. We’ll be back, and that’s no threat!
