Landhotel am Hopfengarten

The guesthouse is in a peaceful spot, so I always sleep well here, and Munich is still quick to reach. The rooms are cozy, quiet, and have what you need to feel comfortable. Everything is exceptionally clean throughout. The booking, check-in, check-out, and payment have always been friendly and easy, and they give helpful tips on nearby food shops. The renovation’s coming along nicely. The hallway already looks lovely, and the new rooms are fantastic. I keep enjoying my stays at Pension zum Spitzbuam and have recommended it to colleagues and friends, who were just as impressed. It’s a relaxing, pleasant place at a good price, and a charming holiday resort that’s well established.

I was only here for two nights on a business trip. If this had been a vacation, the stay would have been ruined. The room gave the same impression as the outside, which looks like a construction site. The furniture and decor are a random mix: red trim, blue curtains, green bathroom tiles, and four different wood tones. Even the small, old TV, hooked up with a SCART cable, adds to the dated feel. Everything seems outdated and run-down.

We stayed the night of November 28th to 29th, 2018, and were very happy with the service. The rooms had a rustic style and were very comfortable, and the free Wi-Fi was a nice extra. The menu is extensive for a rural area. We ordered schnitzel and burgers, and both were excellent in taste and preparation. I highly recommend the hotel.

The dining room has a lovely atmosphere, and the food is delicious and nicely presented. The staff are always smiling and friendly. It’s easy to get to, but there’s no highway noise. The hotel is well maintained and clean in general. The rooms are classically furnished, clean, and have everything you need.
