I've never eaten this badly before. Both the Gulasch and the Schnitzel were awful. The Gulasch wasn't really Gulasch at all, just an extremely sour wine sauce. The Schnitzel was tough and covered in a very odd marinade I couldn't identify.

I've eaten there twice, and both meals were excellent. The service was great too. It's a pleasant place to sit, and the owners are very friendly.

We spent two days at Hotel Zumbusch over Pentecost weekend in 2026. The breakfast was generous, the hotel was clean, and the prices seemed fair. Staff were friendly and helpful. We could eat outside in the pedestrian zone in front of the hotel on Saturday, but not Sunday evening because the restaurant had already closed. We'd plan another stay there.

I stayed from April 17th to 19th, 2026, and felt at home. The owners were warm and helpful, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the hotel is in a great location. My room was cosy and very clean. The traditional food was delicious, and I thought the value for money was excellent. The outdoor seating was just right 👌. I'll definitely return.
