We're staying in apartment 8 right now, and we're surprised by all the glowing reviews. The spacious layout and location are good points, as is having a bus stop right outside, though that's also a bit annoying when your apartment is directly across the hall from it. The sauna, games room, and laundry facilities are useful, but there are no instructions for using them or for how much money to put in. That's about where the positives end. The apartment feels impersonal and not at all cozy. Even setting a glass on the table makes an echo like a hall, so the noise when cleaning, doing dishes, and moving things around is easy to imagine. It needs a small rug under the living room table and felt pads on the chair legs, along with more sound-absorbing touches like pictures, sofa cushions, a throw, and a table runner. The kitchen is very sparsely equipped. The only frying pan is worn out, and food sticks even with plenty of oil. Missing items include pot holders, a salt shaker, a knife for fruit, vegetables, and meat, a wooden spoon, potato masher, a couple of medium pots since there's only one huge and one tiny one, a casserole dish, hand blender, and hand mixer. You can't even peel a potato with what's there. Placemats that aren't plastic, coasters for the living room table, and a small tablecloth would help make the place feel more like home. And one dish towel for two weeks is ridiculous. Other rentals we've stayed in had all this and more, for example, a couple of bottles of water for the first day, salt, pepper, some spices, sugar, sweetener, various electric kitchen appliances, four or five pots, two pans, dish towels, and as many sponges as needed. We got the feeling that self-catering and making yourself at home weren't really encouraged here. I don't know whether this place has regular guests or whether all apartments are equipped the same way, but we won't stay here again.

We’re in apartment 3 at Villa Karina in Göhren, and it’s been lovely. The layout works really well, and it was perfectly clean when we arrived. We leave the day after tomorrow and already wish we could stay longer. We’d come back, but only to this apartment. No complaints at all. If it ever becomes a long-term rental, we’d be among the first candidates.

The key handover was easy, and having free parking on site plus recreation rooms downstairs made things convenient. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with a great location. We really enjoyed staying here and found it a relaxing place to spend our holiday.
