The cozy, fairytale feel of the place, with decorations like the house of the seven dwarfs from Snow-White, always brings back good memories for me. The food has been good quality every time I’ve visited. Since 2013, this has been my first German Schwäbisch-style restaurant, and whenever I’m almost on my way to Stuttgart, I make a point of stopping by. Thank you for giving me such lovely memories.

On our road trip across Germany, from Dresden to Saarbrucken, my wife and I had dinner here in late September 2015. We were staying at a smaller Gasthaus nearby, but this restaurant was a real treat. It has a charming old-fashioned theme and excellent food. The staff spoke a little English, and my German got a proper workout, which worked out well. :-) I’d traveled in Germany years earlier while serving in the U.S. Air Force, so coming back and seeing the country again was great. Bad Ditzenbach is a lovely little town with wonderful people. Well worth a visit!

I was so impressed by the thoughtful, elegant cooking. The tasting menu can stand alongside the best in London, Paris, NY and elsewhere. What a charming little-known culinary find!
