Our dog was welcome too, which we really appreciated. The hosts, who are relatively young, were super friendly and gave helpful advice for “newbies.” We loved the cozy apartment as a base for a relaxing Baltic Sea holiday, and everything was provided. The large entrance hall downstairs has a coat rack and plenty of room for shoes, jackets, hiking equipment, and suitcases. There's a separate storage room as well, though we didn't need it. Just outside is a small private terrace with a table and chairs. Inside, the living and sleeping space is comfortable, with a small desk for planning outings, plus regional magazines and guides. The double bed was very comfortable. For rainy days there is a large flat-screen TV, which we didn't use, a book nook, and a few board games. The kitchen has an oven and stove, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, cooking utensils, and a small dining space. The bathroom is spacious, with plenty of storage and hooks, a large heated towel rail that was handy after the beach, and a hairdryer. Bikes can go behind the apartment or in the owner's garage. There's one parking space right beside the apartment, and more on the street, though sometimes you have to look around. Wi-Fi is free and fast. The city center and cathedral are a 20-25-minute walk away, while cycling into town is quick, especially since it's downhill. Bad Doberan and Althof train stations take about 15 and 10 minutes to reach on foot if you keep moving. There's lots to explore around Bad Doberan. The apartment makes a good base for walking and cycling trips. We recommend taking the historic “Molli” narrow-gauge railway to Heiligendamm, then hiking back through meadows and woods to Bad Doberan, about 7 km. Ask the hosts to explain the trail. We'd love to come back!

We had a great time, with lovely furnishings, a very nice location, and fantastic weather. We were extremely happy with it and would gladly return.

A peaceful, lovely holiday apartment and a good base for lots of nice day trips. The landlords were friendly.

Everything was just right at this excellent place. We'd be very happy to stay again.
