The grounds are beautifully maintained and the location is amazing. Check-in was quick and warm, and they made English speakers feel welcome. The price was fair too. I’d highly recommend it.

It was great.

We stayed with the Sauermann family over Christmas and loved the decorations in the restaurant. Dinner was fantastic, too. The hotel is run with a lot of charm, and the rooms were spotless and well equipped. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including lots of tasty homemade products. There’s ample parking, and Bad Elster is only a short drive away.

The Sauermann family, children included, are so friendly. It’s lovely that places like this still exist. The grounds are well kept, there’s plenty of parking, and both the rooms and restaurant are excellent. The one drawback is the hotel’s position right by the main road. If your room faces the street, heavy traffic can get going early and bring your night to an end sooner than you’d like.
