Hotel Schnehagen

We only stayed one night in their fully equipped apartment. It’s a nice, authentic hotel, with friendly, service minded staff and traditional food.

The dinners were great. My kids loved the children’s menu, and I really enjoyed the schnitzel. I didn’t find it too pricey, either. Staff were lovely and helpful, and spoke English very well for those of us who aren’t fluent in German. We spent two days here and I enjoyed it a lot. The rooms are clean and functional, though their style isn’t really my taste when I stay at a hotel. That comes down to taste and expectations, and they were still good. I’d recommend staying here if you’re not looking for a pool or similar facilities. Take a walk in the woods, too, I highly recommend it.

It’s easy to get to from the highway, but the neighborhood is quiet and pretty. We loved the whole stay. The room was big, the bed was very large and comfortable, and there was a big screen TV. Breakfast was included and tasty. Our dogs were welcome as well, for just a small extra charge.

I chose this place because of its location for visiting Weltvogelpark, and the breakfast was lovely. But my room wasn’t clean. There was hair that definitely wasn’t mine on the table and blanket, and I stepped on a piece of fingernail on the floor. Please do better with the cleaning.
