We had no issue with the friendly service or the wait, and the lunch menu is very reasonably priced. But after a long break, we tried the Saturday lunch specials at "Restaurant China City" again and agreed the already disappointing quality still hadn't improved. The only dish we enjoyed was the traditional Chinese hot and sour vegetable soup that came with the meal. My "Beef Chop Sue" for €7.20 had no taste and wouldn't take seasoning properly. The "Chicken Breast with Pineapple" came in the same thin, generic sauce, and there was very little meat under an overly thick coating. Neither meal matched the advertised promise of a "refined specialty of Chinese cuisine with fresh ingredients." This time it was neither quality nor quantity, just small portions without flavor. We remembered the Asian-style atmosphere and decor as much more pleasant, too. The place now feels dated: decorations are broken off the backs of many chairs, and the flowers by the window and terrace need attention. At about 12:45, only three other tables were occupied across two large indoor rooms, with 98 seats inside and 38 outside. That should have warned us. If you're only looking to fill up quickly, lunch might do. If you love Chinese food, you'd probably be happier elsewhere and paying a little more. We can only praise the lunch prices, not the food quality. This review is about the lunch dishes; we'll try dinner soon to see whether it's better. We think "Restaurant China City" urgently needs to improve customer satisfaction if it wants to keep people coming back. Customers will notice the effort and respond with return visits and recommendations.

We tried the buffet, but none of it was seasoned well. Even the honey tasted watered down, and the sauces were thin. There was far too much batter around the meat. I wouldn't recommend it.

A good hotel for a trade fair visit, but there's no WiFi.
