I can't speak to the hotel itself, but the way they dealt with potential guests is something I can comment on. My parents, who are in their late 70s and early 80s, called to ask whether two single rooms were available for certain dates. They were “kindly” offered some information by mail, and that was all. Then a bill for more than €2,000.00 arrived. No contract had been signed, and they never took a trip. This seems very dubious to me. I just want to warn other travelers.

My almost 90-year-old mother-in-law stayed at your hotel for a week and came away very unhappy with the service and room cleanliness. The “three-course menu” was especially disappointing: there wasn't much variety, and the food was simply awful. She didn't get her mini-menu until the third day. When her stay ended, she was told to withdraw the full cost of the week in cash from the bank. Paying on site or by invoice wasn't an option. I find that outrageous. I would have contacted you directly, but your website has no way to send an email. I put my email address on the reservation form and hope you'll get back to me with a response and some suggestions. Please consider offering compensation.

Clean rooms and a tasty breakfast. It's a pleasant hotel, mostly geared toward older guests, and the service is in German. There's no restaurant, though that wasn't a problem for us since an Italian restaurant is about 100 meters away.

You get a fantastic view of Pyrmont Castle, and the café’s Art Nouveau villa setting makes its slightly old-fashioned decor feel just right. The cappuccino was delicious, and the staff were very friendly.
