We’ve stayed here twice now, five days each time, and would happily come back. The rooms are spotless and have all the facilities we needed. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh fruit, breads, and eggs made the way you choose. The owners are very friendly and take good care of their guests. Thanks to them and the staff!

The staff found out it was my birthday and decorated our table at breakfast, which was such a lovely touch. The breakfast was good quality, and the rooms were nicely appointed. We had a wonderful night and found the hospitality among the best I’ve experienced. I’d love to come back with more time to explore the area.

The Attic room was spacious, clean, cozy, and lovely, with a beautiful mountain view. The bathroom was tidy too. Our hosts were welcoming, and the coffee was great. Breakfast was a generous European spread. It’s close to the train and bus stations, and they provide a konus card. There are indoor games and a sauna room as well.

The rooms were comfortable, with nice beds, and the staff were wonderful. It’s an easy walk to the train station, and a Schwarzwald S-bahn pass comes with the room. Freiburg is 30 minutes away and Neustadt 15. A terrific mountain inn in the Black Forest, with a great breakfast.

While hiking the westweg, we stayed at 12 guesthouses and hotels, and Hotel Sonne Garni did the best job I saw of reducing COVID-19 risks at breakfast and elsewhere. I felt they did everything they could to keep us and the other guests safe. The location was great, and the accommodations were clean and wonderful.
