Alpina

The breakfast in the airy Alpine Panorama Room was the culinary highlight of our trip, and the service throughout was friendly and respectful. The gardens are beautifully kept, the beds are comfortable, and everything felt very clean and thoughtfully designed. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. Hotel Alpina sits a little above the valley, with a sweeping view of the mountains and fresh, clear air. From its elevated position, the Alpine scenery feels unmatched. A glass elevator connects the hotel with the level of the graduation tower, the shopping street, and the spa park. The interiors have an elegant, old-fashioned feel, almost like a grand movie hotel. There are stone and wood floors, rich carpets, solid wood furniture, velvet, and marble. The rooms are comfortable and peaceful, the bathrooms have been renovated, and the period style has been kept. Everything is clean and luxurious. A balcony room is a good choice, especially one on a corner. The hotel suits active holidaymakers, spa guests, travelers, couples, and families with quiet or older children. If you want some peace and a chance to breathe deeply, this is a lovely place to do it.

We found a room here at short notice while on a cycling trip. Reception was helpful and friendly, and breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. The outside of the hotel is really pretty, and the whole garden is very well maintained. The rooms feel dated, though, like stepping back into the 80s. I can’t decide whether that’s charming or a bit creepy. We paid relatively little, so I don’t want to be too hard on it.

Breakfast was the standout for us: lovingly laid out, high quality, and honestly one of the best we’ve had, even though we travel a lot. The night before, we slept well in a very comfortable bed, and the reception staff made us feel at home right away. Our room was pleasant and had a beautiful view over Bad Reichenhall and the mountains, which you can even enjoy from bed in the morning. The hotel is beautifully set on a hill, and the outside is a real highlight. The room could use a little updating, and some parts of the otherwise well-equipped hotel could be more modern.

We stayed in the country house building, where our rooms were very clean and nicely kept in a country style. It’s a wonderfully quiet place to relax, and the team made the stay feel easy with their attentiveness to individual needs, kindness, and friendly manner. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Hot food is currently available Friday through Monday from 6 pm, with a small menu that has a nice variety and was delicious. The location is very good.
