We normally stay in a guesthouse, so this was our first time trying the holiday apartment. Everything went perfectly, and we’ll certainly be back. Bad Salzungen is a lovely town as well, and Mrs. Gerlitz is always in such a good mood.

Comfortable, roomy enough, and equipped with what we needed for a week.

We rented holiday apartment 1, and it stayed pleasantly cool even in the high summer heat. The furnishings were high quality, and the landlords were very friendly. The saltworks are only a two-minute walk away. There’s also a campervan parking area right next door, and our family members staying there were welcome to use the garden furniture at Haus Amelie. Thank you!

Apartment 3 is very quiet and centrally located. We didn’t hear the people in the other apartments at all. The bathroom is spacious and really nice, though checkout on the last day was unfortunately very early. The outside of the house looks lovely, but inside the apartment felt cluttered, with too much oversized furniture. The pans and knives were in poor shape: food stuck to the pans, and the knives were dull. The cups and cutlery were dirty.
