The rooms smelled bad and were dirty, the showers were moldy, and I couldn't walk on the carpets without shoes. The mattresses were worn out too. Breakfast was an absolute disaster, with only the cheapest food served. When I raised it with staff, all I got was, “Contact the owners, they live abroad.” I can't recommend this place.

For short stays or a stop on the way, this place worked really well. The staff member was very friendly, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and breakfast was neatly and hygienically laid out, attractive, and perfectly adequate. The coffee was delicious. It's convenient for train travelers, close to the station but quiet on a side street. A gas station, REWE supermarket, and pizzeria are nearby too. The house and rooms are basic, but clean. Check-in was straightforward, which is great if you arrive late or at short notice in the evening.

The arrival set the tone. I had to call to say I was there, then was told the key was in the mailbox's newspaper compartment with five other room keys, and had to find my own room. It felt completely impersonal from the start. The rooms were filthy and grimy, and breakfast was beyond words. The rolls were pre-baked, and the cold cuts came only in plastic packaging. On Sunday, as the first guest in the breakfast room, I was served the last two slices of rotten cheese, cut into four pieces on a plate. I sent it back with a suitable comment and was told there was no more cheese, even though four tables for two, enough for eight people, were still waiting. The boiled egg wasn't even close to cooked. This was by far the worst accommodation I've experienced. Absolutely not recommended.

We had a quiet, cozy stay, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was lovingly put together, plentiful, and tasty. The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating. Thanks so much!
