It was okay.

The breakfast buffet was very good, and the staff were great. The hotel is quiet, with free parking, and the rooms were clean, warm, and spacious. There are also lots of free services at the spa facilities. It's about 800 m from the spa center and makes a good base for trips around the area.

Breakfast had a lot of choice and was good quality, with items kept topped up. There was a fully automatic coffee machine, but it was syncing during our breakfast and couldn't be used, so we had filter coffee instead. We paid €138 for one night in a double room with breakfast for two. We came by car to visit my mother’s grandmother, who was in rehab at a nearby clinic on the spa promenade. The promenade is about an 8-minute walk away, and parking is free. Check-in is at the rehabilitation clinic reception from 2 pm. They let us collect the key early, though we couldn't go into the room yet. We were mother and daughter staying for one night. The room was clean and had everything we needed, though the style felt a little dated. The mattresses were very hard, which is a matter of taste.

Breakfast was excellent, with a buffet that had everything you'd expect in the morning. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were well equipped for guests. It's mainly used by people staying at the rehabilitation clinic in Bad Schmiedeberg. My own stay was pleasant, and I was able to check in at the clinic the next day without any hassle or stress.
