Hotel Leonhardihof

A good hotel, and the staff were helpful.

We spent Easter weekend here. Breakfast and the room were okay, though the room had an odd smell, maybe disappointment. The manager made the stay very unpleasant with his pettiness, constant excuses, and what felt like almost irrational behavior. The spa was fairly expensive and supposedly open until 8:00 PM, but when we tried to go in at 6:00 PM he turned us away, saying the sauna needed 90 minutes to heat. In my experience, saunas are usually warm within about 30 minutes. Payment was another major issue. The booking advertised all major bank cards, but he insisted on cash and gave muddled explanations about changing banks and the terminal taking days to reactivate. I had seen comments saying he gave other guests the same explanation months earlier, and I wasn't the only person to describe the host as rude and confrontational. It took us around an hour and cost 8€ to find a working ATM in this small resort town on Easter Monday so we could pay cash. After we posted about the problems on the booking site, he actually called us, argued, denied everything, and berated us for leaving a bad review. He seemed completely out of his mind.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a private balcony, and breakfast was good. It's a pleasant walk from the town centre. There weren't any facilities in the bedroom for making hot drinks.

There are no blinds on the windows, and you can hear every word the neighbors say. No climate control either. I couldn't sleep.
