Atina Hotel

The welcome was friendly, the hotel was quiet, and it was easy to walk into town. I'm not especially demanding, but the musty smell was hard to ignore, even with the old furnishings. Breakfast could be simple, and I don't mind pre-baked rolls. But the sausage and cheese should be covered, especially in summer. They'd been left out for two hours, which I found unacceptable. There are plenty of other small issues I could list, but I'd never finish. I've decided to treat the stay as an adventure. I don't need to repeat it.

The view from the balcony was amazing, and we felt very comfortable during our one-night stay at Hotel Atina last weekend. Its old-fashioned style, which some people criticize, suited us perfectly. Cleanliness and tidiness mattered most to us, and both were there. Breakfast was more than adequate, and the friendly waiter kept checking whether we needed anything. We'd definitely come back. We were completely satisfied.

My sister and I felt very comfortable during our stay, even though the hotel and furnishings are somewhat dated. Both single rooms were very clean, and we got a warm welcome along with excellent tips about places to eat and what was happening in Bad Wildbad. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, and anything missing was replenished. It wasn't so overstocked that half the food had to be thrown away. We stayed from May 6th to 8th.

The price felt high for what was offered. Breakfast was very basic, with reheated rolls, no scrambled eggs, and hardly any fruit. The bathroom had liquid soap but no shower gel or hairdryer. The flat-screen TV was okay, and the city center is within walking distance. For €100, I expected a bit more. Fresh bakery rolls, a few croissants, and some fruit salad would make breakfast a nicer start to the day. If you don't expect much, it's fine.
