The food, wine and beer were all great, with local produce that made the place feel true to the area. It made our honeymoon dinner really special.

The guesthouse was clean, but I wouldn't recommend it. Church bells start ringing at 6am every morning nearby, so late sleepers won't get a good night's rest. The room had poor ventilation, and keeping the windows open let in insects and a lot of noise. We spoke only English and struggled to manage even basic conversation because nobody spoke or understood it. Vegetarians will have little edible choice at breakfast, so don't buy it. There's no elevator, and we had to haul our luggage up and down three floors.

The rooms were noisy, with heavy traffic and church bells at 6 am. They provide free earplugs, which says it all. The welcome was rude and unwelcoming, and I'd advise the manager to leave the business because he's not cut out for it. Give this place a miss.
