We came for the restaurant, so I can’t speak to the rooms. The service was attentive, and although a birthday party meant we were seated outside, that was fine. The menu is a manageable size, but the portions mean you’ll probably want a starter, main, and dessert unless you arrive not very hungry. The food was good, though the vegetables with the pork seemed more decorative than a proper side for the price. My daughter’s chicken nuggets had a cornflake coating instead of breadcrumbs, which picky eaters may want to know. Dessert was lovely. Good quality, but not the best value because of the portion sizes.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back. The staff were so friendly, and breakfast was great, with a woman there making sure we had what we needed. The interior is cute too. That deer-shaped mirror even wears stockings, lol.

The kids enjoyed it too, and it’s the sort of cozy place where you can happily spend hours. I had one of the best meals I’ve had in ages: veal with girolles mushroom sauce and proper potato croquettes, cooked and seasoned just right. The chef clearly knows what they’re doing. Service was friendly and cheerful, with good beer and wine. I’d recommend the plum brandy digestif.

We turned up at 10 pm and got a warm welcome. The kitchen had closed, but the lady looking after the guests still got us a large beer on tap. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.

The morning lady was really nice, and the coffee and breakfast were delicious. The bed was very comfortable, though the room felt a bit tired, with just one small, low pillow per person. It was cold and there was no heating, and the WiFi didn’t work. There were no instructions in English. We arrived during check-in time, but the key had been left on the desk. It felt a bit pricey for what we got, though it seems prices are rising a lot everywhere.
