I stayed in the “Lounge” apartment for six nights and found nothing to fault. It was clean, stylish, tastefully furnished, and had everything I needed, including a great balcony. Nights were wonderfully quiet. The location was excellent, close to the Festspielhaus (Festival Hall) and the city center, with a bus stop nearby. A parking space in the garage was included, and the price was reasonable. I could pay by cash or card on arrival. Emails got quick replies, and I was warmly welcomed. I’m usually picky, but this place was absolutely perfect and easy to recommend.

The host is friendly and communicates really well. The apartment is in mint condition and spotless, with everything you could need, from a fully equipped kitchen to tastefully decorated bedrooms and bathrooms and a nicely furnished balcony. Even small things like a shoehorn are there. It really feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended.

Mr. Schneider was an excellent host, always reachable by mobile and quick to sort out questions or problems. He even brought us another coffee maker when we asked. The Chalet apartment had plenty of room for a team to meet, with lots of crockery and tableware. Its old brickwork kept the indoor climate pleasant even with the heating on. The fast internet, Alexas, Amazon Music, and Netflix were fun extras, though not everyone needs them. We found the apartment after researching an extended stay in Baden-Baden, and were fortunate to spend it there. The bright, high-ceilinged rooms still carry the former cigarette factory’s charm, with a modern industrial feel that’s also cozy. Light sleepers may prefer the courtyard-facing bedroom. We chose the front room for the birdsong, and the bed there was exceptionally comfortable, even for someone sensitive like me. From the window and spacious balcony you can see a small street, but it was barely used at night during our stay. The kitchen is fully equipped. If, like me, you prefer a more traditional approach to technology, ask Mr. Schneider for a quick explanation of the oven and stove. All of this made it worthy of five stars.

Mr. Schneider was friendly and responsive throughout our stay, and the fast internet and quiet throughout the house made focused work a pleasure. Having a secure parking space in Baden-Baden is invaluable. We had a wonderful time and would love to return, if reviews like this don’t make it too busy! The Schwarzwald Lounge apartment looked just as appealing as the website photos suggested. It was spacious, tastefully decorated, and practically furnished with everything from a toaster and coffee maker to a washing machine.

We cut our holiday short after our e-bike was stolen from the building’s secure bicycle shed. It was a high-quality bike and was locked; there were no signs of forced entry. The alternative storage options suggested beforehand didn’t work for us: the cellar stairs were unsuitable, and we considered the underground garage insecure. We worried our second e-bike might be stolen too. Daniel Schneider didn’t seem especially concerned by what happened, leaving us with the impression that guests’ property security wasn’t a priority. His disappointing response added to the bad experience, and we can’t recommend the accommodation. We had booked the new suite for a week. It was modern and functional, but the bedroom had no proper blackout curtains, so we needed sleep masks to get back to sleep in the early morning. Poor ceiling soundproofing also meant every footstep could be heard. The balcony looked onto nearby buildings, the building’s parking spaces, and Mozartstrasse.
