I was training for the world championships Ironman70.3, and Morgensonne was a great place to stay, with steep, long climbs nearby. Friends who've been staying there for years recommended it, and I can see why: the accommodation is excellent, the beds are great, and the breakfast and dinner are even better. Breakfast was fit for royalty, and the price was really reasonable. My stay at hotel Morgensonne was terrific. I hadn't expected such great service for what it cost. It's a comfortable pension, really more like a hotel, but with a homely feel. There were books to read, and a bottle of wine and sparkling water waiting in my room.

We had a lovely stay there, my girlfriend and I. The host was welcoming, the hotel lovely, and the area amazing. We slept well, enjoyed a really nice breakfast, then headed off. We're planning to go back.

This was the worst hotel experience I've had so far. I was driving through Germany and stopped to eat and look online for somewhere to sleep along the way. I found this hotel on a website, thought it looked nice, and booked it. My reservation was confirmed at 21:40, so I set off for the hotel, 150 kms away. Once I was on the motorway, the booking website called to say the owner wouldn't wait for me because the latest check-in was 19:00. I told the owner I was already on my way and GPS predicted I'd arrive at 23:15, but he was firm that he wouldn't wait. I was left on the motorway in the middle of the night without a place to sleep. They shouldn't call themselves a hotel. Even monasteries don't have such a strict curfew.

Guests are treated with real warmth at this wonderful hotel. The surroundings are lovely, the rooms cozy, and the dining room is nice.
