Altenburg Castle is an easy walk away, and Bamberg is just half an hour away. There’s also a bus stop almost right outside for anyone who’d rather not walk. The apartment itself is simply furnished and very clean, and the landlords are friendly and accommodating.

The terrace and lovely setting made it a relaxing place to enjoy the view, and Bamberg is within walking distance. The host was very friendly and sent us lots of tips and directions ahead of time. I took off a star because the bedrooms are split by a sliding door that lets through a lot of noise. One room has only fold-out Murphy beds, and the other has no window.

We stayed for three nights as a couple. It was quiet, with a lovely terrace and a private parking space. The furnishings were simple, and the price was good for what we got.

The location is very quiet and the view is fantastic. It’s reasonably priced, too. Service was very friendly, and the place was clean with everything we needed.
