Limehome Bamberg Keßlerstraße

The location is central, but the property says it has parking, while the parking is a 20 minute walk away and costs 30 Euros per night. The interior is worn, with mold in several spots, and the downstairs unit doesn’t look like the picture. There’s no air conditioning, so I wouldn’t recommend it in warm weather. The WiFi didn’t work during our stay. There’s no reception desk, so you have to contact them by WhatsApp. We couldn’t get a reply, and ended up leaving to book another hotel.

The place is well equipped and centrally located, close to the bus station. On very rainy summer days it gets much too hot, and there’s no air conditioning. Once you can air it out and cool it down a bit in the evening, there’s a lot of noise outside. The furniture layout in the room is strange.

We stayed one night at Limehome in the ground floor suite, Room01. Maybe we were tired or just lucky, but noise wasn’t a problem for us. The street was quiet overnight, and other tourists in the building didn’t keep us from sleeping. The suite was clean and had a coffee machine and kettle for tea. We also got four coffee capsules, and there was water in the fridge. The heat was a bit harder to deal with. There’s no air conditioning, just a fan, but that helped in a pinch. Access became available shortly before check-in, around 2:30 PM. There were three codes: one for the main door, one to unlock the room door, and then a room code. After the first entry, only two codes were needed, for the main door and the room. It’s very close to the central tourist area. From the train station, we took bus 902 for two stops, then got off at ZOB station and reached Limehome easily and quickly.
